Aims and Ethos

Our Ethos

At Highview Montessori we educate children for life through an authentic Montessori curriculum which fully embeds and meets the EYFS statutory requirements.

The care and education offered by our setting give our students the building blocks to their future by providing a child-centred environment appropriate to the age and stage of development of each child. Our qualified and experienced practitioners guide children in their learning and exploration, supporting their inquisitiveness and offering individually tailored and progressively challenging yet enjoyable experiences in all areas of learning and development.

Children start to learn about the world around them from the moment they are born. The experiences and impressions made in the early years lay the foundation for all their future learning, sense of self, confidence, self-esteem, respect and interest in the world around them.

Our Aims:

provide high quality care and education for children by integrating the Montessori approach to the standards set in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework

offer a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters a love of learning and encourages creativity, independence, and self-motivation while encouraging a positive sense of self as well as respect and interest in the people and the world

support children to become independent, responsible, resilient, confident and active participants in the life of the local and wider community

offer children and their parents a service that embeds children’s rights in every aspect of practice and ethos, promotes equality and values diversity and individuality

work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop to their full potential
